myBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu (myBJJ) had its humble beginnings in the backyard of Mario Sergio Yokoyama’s home in 2007. From a couple of local students, it has now grown into an international Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team with a full-time academy in Marrickville and several associated clubs throughout Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Brazil.

Our focus at myBJJ has always been on delivering quality tuition and developing our students to be the best in their technical knowledge of both self-defence and competition aspects of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Whether they train for competition or leisure, we strive to maintain a high technical standard and ensure that our students enjoy their time with us.

myBJJ Competition Team has already made an impact on the Australian and International BJJ scene, with World, Pan American, Pan Pacific, Australian, and Brazilian Champions amongst our ranks.

Although our team is still young, we have drawn on the expertise and experience of our leadership team and friends to develop programs and strategies to accelerate the progress of our students and instructors, and ultimately our team.

Regardless of whether you already run a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy, or are looking to introduce BJJ into your existing gym, myBJJ International Association can assist you with curriculum development, world-class instructor training and a business network and structure to benefit both the school owner and student.

We invite you to find out more about the Association in these pages, and look forward to welcoming you to our family!
